AUG 17th, 1995. Time: 19h57. Duration: 12 minutes. From the cabin of the PT-LQK, a Lear Jet 24 aircraft, two pilots spotted an unidentified flying object about 80NM [nautical miles] away and at an altitude between FL 500 and FL 600 [60,000ft] in the West position. According to one of the pilots, the UFO had an “irregular shape, constantly changing” colors, and had a “speed close to the speed of light”. The sighting took place 180NM from Catanduvas, State of Santa Catarina, and it was observed with the naked eye in good visibility conditions.
