MARCH 26th, 1996. Time: 21h00. Duration: one hour. In Curitiba, State of Paraná, three people spotted an oval UFO, alternating silver, red and blue colors. According to the witnesses, the unknown object was small and zigzagged, moving at “very fast” speed. The witness who reported the sighting was unable to estimate the altitude of the sighted UFO, pointing out only that it was “quite high”. The event was observed with the naked eye and in “good weather”.

APRIL 2nd, 1996. Time: 18h43. Duration: 2 minutes. From the window of his apartment in the Cabral neighborhood, in Curitiba, State of Paraná, a man observed an unidentified flying object, “large in size, larger than a Boeing 747”. According to the witness, the UFO was round, white, shiny, and remained stationary, hovering about 100 meters from the ground. The observer stated that the object was standing over the southwestern region of Curitiba, about 7 km from where he could see it, and that, when it moved, it followed a horizontal trajectory. According to the report, the sighting was made with the naked eye and with a “blue sky”.

APRIL 2nd, 1996. Time: 20h21. Duration: 4 minutes. From their home in the Santo Antonio region, in Capão da Canoa, State of Rio Grande do Sul, three people observed an unidentified flying object at an estimated distance of 40 km. According to the witnesses, the UFO had the appearance of a star, but “larger”; and it was amber in color and was at an altitude of approximately 1km. The unknown object was spotted when it flew in the western sector of the city Capão da Canoa. The sighting was carried out with the naked eye under a cloudy sky.

APRIL 3rd, 1996. Time: 21h00. Duration: 1 minute. In the region of Taguatinga, Distrito Federal, a person observed an unidentified flying object in the shape of a “white flashing light”. The UFO was seen when the observer looked at Southern Cross with the naked eye and on a “clear sky” night. According to the witness, the UFO had an “airplane” speed and was moving vertically, “only rising”. The witness was unable to estimate the altitude of the unknown object. No photographs or footage of the sighting were taken.

APRIL 23rd, 1996. Time: 19h10. Duration: 20 minutes. When flying over the south coast of the State of São Paulo, a pilot and a co-pilot of the PT-321 aircraft noticed that two unidentified flying objects were following the plane from about 60 NM away. According to the witnesses, they were at an altitude of 16,000ft, when they saw “2 points of light that moved symmetrically” and in the “nine o’clock position in relation to the aircraft” [south]. One UFO had a strong red light and the other a weak white, and they moved at a speed of 250kt [462km/h]. The sighting was done with the naked eye and the visibility conditions were described as good.

On June 1st, 1995, we took the initiative to write a letter of n. 95/113 (the copy of which is attached), but we have not received a written response to what we would like this Command to provide.

On the other hand, we started an excellent telephone relationship with Colonel Coelho and Colonel Ortiz, who are working on a project that aims to catalog and exchange with civilian groups about the UFO or UFO phenomenon.

As we agreed, I am sending you 3 SUPYSÁUA newsletters n. 37, 38 and 39. We hope you enjoy their content. We warn that the cases published in this journal have the purpose of reaching the public interest, in a clear, simple and objective way. The Bulletin is not very technical, as it would make reading massive and heavy, unlike our research, which is based on a methodology based on the physical reality that surrounds us.

On April 5th we were in Varginha-MG participating in an important meeting, which brought together several UFO groups and some military personnel. The main theme of the meeting revolved around the capture of strange “creatures”. Part of this episode has already been broadcast in newspapers and television, at local, national and international levels. According to some witnesses, the Fire Brigade, the Civil / Military Police and the Army would be involved in this plot.

Shortly after my return from Varginha, I contacted Cel. Coelho informing him that our group was in charge of preparing a letter to CONDABRA requesting his opinion on this case. Cel. Coelho advised us to send the letter directly to you. that would take the appropriate measures, clarifying the fact. We would like to know if there is a cover-up policy in this case or in facts related to the OVNI or UFO phenomenon, researched and cataloged by this Command.

APRIL 28th, 1996. Time: 21h00. Duration: 80 minutes. In the region of Lagoa Formosa, in Planaltina, Goiás, three people observed several unidentified flying objects [according to the report, about 100 objects were spotted], going fast, “moving close to each other, always maintaining their relative position”. The UFOs had the “shape and intense brightness of stars” and were observed moving towards the city of Unaí [MG], south of the city of Planaltina [GO]. The sighting was made, according to information from the witness, with clear skies and with the naked eye. According to the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command]: “It was informed by the observer that the objects were flying in a scalene trapezoid formation together”

APRIL 30th, 1996. Time: 23h05. Duration: 3 to 5 minutes. A person in the region of Gravataí, State of Rio Grande do Sul, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object with the appearance “bigger than a star” in the sky and blue in color. According to the witness, “the object remained in the sky” for 3 to 5  minutes. The witness stated that he observed the same UFO a month earlier as well. The sighting took place in clear skies and with the naked eye.

MAY 12th, 1996. Time: 17h00. Duration: 10 minutes. Two people in the Cotolengo region, Curitiba, State of Paraná, observed two unidentified flying objects in the shape of white and silver balls moving in the eastern sector of the city. According to the witnesses’ report, the objects were flying “lower than an aerobatic aircraft” and they were at a speed “equal to that of an airplane”, staying close to each other on their East-West trajectory. The sighting was carried out with the naked eye and in a clear sky.

MAY 13th, 1996. Time: 16h00 pm. Duration: 5 hours and 30 minutes. In Caxambu, State of Minas Gerais, several people observed a UFO sighting for more than five hours, which was even reported on local TV. According to the witness who reported the sighting to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the unidentified flying object was round like a “luminous ball”, varied in size and it was yellow-orange in color. The object moved circularly with variable speeds at an altitude of approximately 3km and left a trail “in the shape of a 1/4 circumference”. Although the witness followed the event with clear skies and with the naked eye together with “trusted people”, she said that the sighting was also filmed by her and that she would send the copies of the video to COMDABRA. This video was not made available with this declassified file.
