A lawyer in São Sebastião-SP reported flying on a UFO and interacting with extraterrestrial beings [1956]*

June 16th, 1956.
“In an interview with channel 13 of Rio de Janeiro television, on the night of August 27th, 1957, João de Freitas Guimarães, lawyer and professor at the Catholic Faculty of Law in Santos, São Paulo, reported the strange adventure he had with a flying saucer and its crew members. He was also Interviewed by the Brazilian Society for the Study of Flying Saucers, SBEDV, and confirmed his statements which can be summarized as follows:
On June 16, 1956 he went to São Sebastião for work. Finding the forum closed, he stayed at the hotel and after dinner went for a walk on the beach. It was 19:10 or 19:15 when, looking at the sea, he saw a jet of water rise in the stretch between Ilhabela and São Sebastião. He immediately thought of a whale, but it was a bulky device that emerged from the waters and took the direction of the beach, where, when it arrived, it launched a landing gear with balls and, through an opening, two men went out to meet him. They were tall, white, blond hair, clear and serene eyes. They wore a kind of green jumpsuit that narrowed on the neck, the wrists and ankles.
At first he was startled when they stopped in front of him but, as they looked so human, he asked them if there had been an accident with their machine or if they were looking for someone. Having no answer, he repeated the question in French, English, Italian, but to no answers. However, although they did not speak, the lawyer had the impression that they were inviting him to enter the device. It seemed to him that the crew were communicating by telepathy. Knowing that the invitation was insistent, Dr. Freitas Guimarães felt an irresistible urge to see the interior of the object. One of the men walked to the ship, turning his back on him. He followed the man reluctantly, and the other one came after him.
Inside the flying saucer
The individual who led the way reached the bottom of the ship and climbed it easily, holding the ladder with one hand, while he, the lawyer, needed the help of both hands. A third crew member was waiting for them. With the door closed, the object took off. At that moment, even though he was slightly ill, the teacher noticed that there was water on the portholes.
– “Is it raining?” he asked.
He was told, telepathically, that it was not rain. That water came from the “rotation in the opposite direction of the parts that made up the ship”. They explained to him that, around the ship, there was a ray filtration device, which had the property of making the semi-vacuum in any of its parts. He noted that during the entire trip they only remained in one compartment, but noted that there were others, also lit.
Through the windows, Dr. Guimarães saw that they passed through an intensely dark area, where the stars shone in an extraordinary way. Successive regions filled with stars sparkled with incomparable brilliance. New dark areas followed. They then passed through a glowing violet layer and on that occasion, he felt that the device was shaking strongly. As he showed fear, he was told that the ship had just left the earth’s atmosphere.
During the trip, the lawyer asked several times where they came from, but got no answer. He doesn’t know why they didn’t want to identify themselves. He noticed that there was a circular shaped panel in the compartment, in which three very sensitive needles oscillated. He saw that when they left the earth’s atmosphere, those ‘clock-hands’ started to vibrate intensely. As explained to him, “the device was driven by the direction resultant of the composition of the magnetic forces in that place”. When they returned, he noticed that his watch was stopped, but he calculated the time they were in flight in 30 or 40 minutes.
New meeting
Still inside the ship, they agreed to meet again on August 12th the following year, 1957, in the same place and at the same time. The date was marked by 12 constellations that were arranged on the Zodiac. A wheel indicated the year and the repetition of 12 times the number eight gave an idea of the month of August.
Professor Freitas Guimarães also declared that he did not attend the new meeting because, as the case was widely publicized, a caravan had been organized by curious people to attend the interview, which would certainly cause great turmoil. In addition, the Air Force would send jet fighter planes to the scene.
In an interview subsequently granted to the SBEDV researchers – the lawyer declared that, a few days before the date agreed for the meeting, Colonel Av Coqueiro, in the presence of Dr Gabriel Alca, his brother and a clerk at the fifth notary of Santos, had said:
– “If I were you, I wouldn’t go to that meeting. I will have two jet fighter squadrons there to receive the flying saucer”.
In this last interview, Dr. Guimarães added that he had heard from people who gave public testimony on TV Tupi in São Paulo that, on the scheduled date, the flying saucer appeared behind Ilha Bela, passed over São Sebastião and went towards Praia da Barraqueçaba.

The “Duas Pontes Case”: UFOs sightings and a fatal abduction in Diamantina-MG [1962]
THE “DUAS PONTES” CASE
TRANSLATION OF THE REPORT:
“In August 1962, the report of a poor, illiterate and shy boy caused a huge stir in the city of Diamantina, with repercussions throughout the state of Minas Gerais and beyond its limits.
Raimundo Aleluia Mafra, 12 years old, motherless, helped her father Rivalino Mafra da Silva with his hunting and mining activities, also taking care of two of his younger brothers.
Located in Duas Pontes district of Diamantina, State of Minas Gerais, the Mafra family residence was a completely isolated hovel. For dozens of times, the boy repeated his report to Lieutenant Wilson Lisboa, the city’s police chief, the Judge of Law, doctors, journalists and countless people, who, despite refusing Raimundo’s version, were impressed by his consistency and quiet conviction.
He claimed that Rivalino, his father, had disappeared before his eyes, surrounded by a swirl of yellow dust raised by two small objects, posted at the door of the hovel. And he wept softly, convinced that his father would never return
Soon after his father’s disappearance, Raimundo looked for traces of himself in the neighborhood and went to call Mr. João Madalena de Miranda, employee of a distant factory. When this friend arrived at the place of the disappearance, a clearing of dirt, he noticed what he seemed to have been carefully swept, in an area whose radius measured 5 meters.
The searches, already under the direction of the Diamantina police, began on the same day, and would continue for a long time. The military Police trained dogs arrived from Belo Horizonte, but found no trace of the ‘garimpeiro’/gold miner. The flights of the birds of prey were closely monitored as a possible clue to the location of Rivalino’s body.
Mr. José Ávila Garcia, the vicar of Diamantina, despite not believing in the boy’s version, revealed that in the week prior to the disappearance of Rivalino, an employee of the Post and Telegraph department, Mr. Antônio Rocha, spotted two fireballs flying in circles at great speed and low altitude, exactly over the location of DUAS PONTES, where the ‘garimpeiro’ resided. Mr. Antonio Rocha confirmed this communication to the Diário de Minas reporter.
After a clinical examination of the boy Raimundo, the doctor Dr. João Antônio de Oliveira revealed that he had discovered nothing unusual, just the state of malnutrition. The boy appeared to be in good mental condition.
With the initiative of the juvenile court, Raimundo was taken to Belo Horizonte by Commissioner Antônio Cruz. In this capital, he repeated the story with the same details, including for CICOANI. Before admitting him to “João Pinheiro”, an Institute for the protection and instruction of underprivileged minors, the Court provided psychiatric examination and psychological tests. The results did nothing to resolve the issue.
Testimony of the young Raimundo Aleluia Mafra to CICOANI, on August 30th, 1962 – summary:
Raimundo says that around 8 pm on August 1st of that year, 1962, he met his father Rivalino in a room in his residence, where two of his four younger brothers slept. He and his father were around a small fire that they made on the dirt floor in the bedroom, next to one of the doors leading to the kitchen. His father drew his attention to a dark, undefined shadow, which slid silently across the kitchen, towards another room. This silhouette was described as having four legs, but the boy could inform more, merely stating that it had some resemblance to a crawling man.
Recalling the story, the boy described a “tuft” in that shade, meaning some projection, which would have turned towards the room when passing through the door, giving Raimundo and his father the impression of having been observed.
Then Mr. Rivalino got up, going to the door where the shadow had shown itself, or a little further, unable to see anything. The boy admited that fear could have prevented his father from conducting a complete search in the rest of the dark house, but he ensures that the internal locks – of the only two doors, one in the kitchen and the other in the living room – were frimly closed.
Returning to the room, Mr. Rivalino found himself unable to sleep, as did his son. At one point, they both heard human voices, “thick and coiled” quoting Rivalino’s name and saying that ‘they would kill him as soon as he left home’. They also heard a noise similar to an alarm clock coming from the outside of the house. The gold digger and his son went through the night without sleep.
At 6 am in the following morning, August 20th, Monday, Raimundo was about to leave the house and prepare his father’s horse from the attached tereno. He opened the kitchen door leading to the grounds, and found two small and strange objects lying on the ground, a few meters away. Differing in color, they were identical in shape and size. Both were oval in shape and measured between 40 and 50 centimeters in the largest diameter. The existence of a small appendix at one end of each object, combined with their shape, reminded Raimundo of the armadillo figures. These finger-sized appendages were tubular in shape, according to the boy’s description. And, like “little tails”, they protruded from the backs of the objects, which were slightly suspended from the ground. At the moment when Raimundo noticed them, that addendum pointed to the door, where he was.
Then, when Mr. Rivalino arrived at the door in response to his son’s call, the tubes pointed in the opposite direction, indicating that the objects would have overturned. One of the objects was entirely black, matte; the other was streaked in white and black, with stripes equal in width, and drawn across the larger diameter of the object. This description was made patiently with the aid of a “sketch”.
When Mr. Rivalino noticed the two objects placed side by side, one meter from each other, he marveled by releasing the phrase: “What is this?”. He recommended to his son not to go out the door, and still holding the knife and the tobacco with which he prepared his straw cigarette, Mr. Rivalino approached the objects slowly, and his son said that he did not seem to show fear. With the approach of Rivalino, the two objects joined laterally, with a dull sound and began to rotate together, quickly and immediately raising a swirl of “yellow dust”, which enveloped Rivalino without reaching his son.
The boy had declared that, in addition to the dull noise during the collision of objects, the only noise he heard was the hum of the wind that raised the dust spiral, which prevented Raimundo from seeing both the objects and his father, who did not reappear when the swirl stopped.”

In Niterói-RJ, UFO sightings in the same spot where a fatal contact happened [1968]
TRANSLATION OF THE REPORT:
SEPT 11th, 1968. An attorney of Rio de Janeiro named João Abud, his wife, an official of Finance of the State of Rio, as well as other people, confirmed the testimony of Professor Hilton Ribeiro, of Colégio Plínio Leitte, and the couple of students Regina Lúsica de Oliveira and José Carlos, who saw a flying saucer on Sunday night at Itaipu beach in Niterói. The teacher and the students were on the beach, contemplating the sea, when they came across a spaceship, totally illuminated and emitting jets of orange light and spinning on its own axis with a translucent top, without touching the ground and only 2 meters from the beach sand. The lovers, frightened already by the series they had been watching on TV – “The Invaders” -, hurriedly left the place.
Later they declared that they were afraid of having any dialogue with the visitors, whose silhouettes they could see through the luminous walls of the disc. The Professor declared that the spacecraft was the size of a VW, emitting colored lights, prevailing orange, and that it remained stationary without touching the ground, rotating slowly around its own axis. The Professor was waiting for the moment to contact the occupants of the ship, but the UFO ended up gaining height and disappearing. The student couple said the disc looked like the one described by a lady resident in Icaraí when the two radio technicians who were found dead – with lead masks in their eyes – on top of Morro do Urubú, disappeared when they tried to contact beings from another planet. The men were found dead, with noboby finding out the cause. At the time, the aforementioned Mrs. and several others saw a flash in the sky and the object described as a flying saucer.
On September 13th, 1968, following the example of what happened at the beginning of the week at Itaipu beach, a flying disc over Niterói appeared again. The object was photographed when it hovered over Morro Vintém, the same place where the two radio technicians, found with lead masks in their eyes, mysteriously appeared dead (?). The photographer who surprised the flying saucer was Mr. Ari Pereira, immediately taking the photos to the Rio de Janeiro authorities interested in the subject.
The photographer reported that when he arrived at his apartment window to escape the heat in his room, he was surprised by a strange colored light that appeared in the sky. After standing still for a few minutes, he began to move at an impressive speed, traversing space. The crew of a cargo plane reported a luminous object between Porto Alegre-RS and Guaratuba-PR [1954]
TRANSLATION OF THE REPORT
“August 6th, 1954.
The VARIG plane, VBF, taking extra flight, freighter from PA to RJ [Porto Alegre to Rio de Janeiro], with the following crew: Commander Nagib; Co-pilot Ruthildo, Radio-telegraphist Rafael, witnessed what is reported below:
We take off from PA at 17:17 hrs (local) with PLN approved 2,100 meters. VD-1 FL 2250 FA ST 2100 VD-3 RJ. After the passage of FL (18:18 hrs local time), I saw a strong light to the left of the aircraft, which soon disappeared, not paying attention to the fact.
At the time we passed by Guaratuba-PR, I again saw strong light still to the left of the aircraft, disappearing again. After passing through Paranaguá-PR, what happened at 18:55 hrs (local time) I saw again the same light (apparently yellow) still to the left of the aircraft, approximately 3,000 meters between my aircraft and the VD-3. I caught the attention of the crew and we all observed the following: Variation in speed, height and brightness; the speed and height being very intense.
Sometimes it was lower in front of me, sometimes higher in the back, always to the left. We turned off all the onboard lights and communicated with the VBX that was at that time near JV, the object was not seen by the VBX. I transmitted to the VBX all the evolutions of the object consisting of the following: rapid vertical ascent, backward movement maintaining height; after a quick instant, it appeared in front of me lower (since the light was weaker, but constant) the object was not lost sight of until the Atlantic position, when we penetrated below an AS layer (height approximately 2,400 meters) it disappeared, and was not seen anymore.
The variation in luminosity, height and speed were very different and impressed us a lot, so we decided to land in São Paulo.
What was said here was observed by the crew. The shape of the object could not be identified. I compare, looking from the Control Center, with a track light. At most, it was shaped like a balloon. / Commander Nagib, Co-pilot Ruthildo, Telegraf. Raphael /. “

The witness ran in the opposite direction to the 3 crew members; when he saw that the 3 crew members completed the closing of the UFO door (only at this moment did he observe the presence of the UFO), followed by a noise similar to the frying noise, initiating the movement of the UFO.”]“

Still, he continued to watch it calmly. The UFO was distant, moving fast; it had a continuous west-east movement, oscillating laterally, and followed by a snore when the inclination increased. The witness said she had contact with a female crew member who, when presenting her an empty bottle, indicating, perhaps, that she wanted water; she spoke a very strange language; the witness only noticed the object when the crew member went towards it. After the bottle filled with water, the woman held out a small mug that was filled and the water was drunk. Both returned to the exit door. The woman said goodbye to the witness saying, “Umbaura” three times. After that, the woman went to the UFO (and here Mrs. Maria was astonished) and it took off with great light. Mrs. Maria was very scared. After a few hours, Army officers and the Director of the Sanatorium observed footprints at the entrance to the Sanatorium.”]“.
CI-007. Item “8 – synthesis: Light source with the shape of a windshield; internally dark; on the periphery there was a very red strip of light. After a few minutes, it went out. It was seen from a distance”. [More information from ARX.0.0.20 -When leaving the house with a friend, around 23:00, the witness looked at the clock of the Church of Santa Terezinha and observed a UFO, as if it were on top of the Church. It had a rectangular shape, dark color in the center and luminous edges like opaque red. The UFO was stopped and then started to move and then back again, stopping at the previous position at the beginning of the displacement. Then it went up vertically with incredible speed.”]”.
CI-008. Item “8 – Object about 30 meters in diameter; upper white dome and lower red dome; a circular moving platform in the middle; it was landed on the ground, supported by a telescope tripod; small ladder coming out of the lower dome; the witness would have received a paralyzing light; he saw the upper dome (which was open) close, the tripod and the ladder retract (after hearing noise from a nearby sawmill). Friends ran, and the reporting witness received a beam of light from the upper dome and was paralyzed without losing consciousness. The dome opened halfway. The device was resting on a tripod and had a ladder beside it. Then the stairs retracted – with a blind. The tripods retracted without changing the position of the device. The UFO then went up to 3 or 4 meters more or less. Beside a tree he bent a little, dodging it. At that point the platform started to turn counterclockwise. He climbed higher and then started to move. The boy then ran. He had forgotten that he had already been filthy and had even forgotten the names of his colleagues, etc.”]“

Five girls from Agudos-SP reported a shape-shifting UFO [1970]
Report from the Security Information Division [of the 4th Air Zone Command] to the Ministry of Aeronautics.
AUG 21st, 1970. Time: 23: 00hs. Five university students from Agudos-SP, who “used to travel every night to Bauru-SP” to attend classes at Faculdade Educacional de Bauru, saw “a strange light on the night of August 21st, 1970, at 23:00 hs.
The five students were traveling in the same car, and one of the girls in the back seat on the left side noticed a red light on Marechal Rondon highway, on the stretch “shortly after the YY Farm”. According to this witness, “the light was opaque, did not emit light rays, and had a biconvex shape”. The girl warned the other four in the car to see the object too. The driver then parked the car to observe. “They noticed with surprise that the light decreased in size and changed in shape, presenting itself as a small sphere and then growing, as if it were going to approach the vehicle”.
Naturally scared, they insisted that the driver should “put the car in motion”, but she “wanted to stay there, to see what that object was”. However, after the insistence of frightened colleagues, she decided to continue traveling with the car at a slow speed.
All of them noticed “that the light went parallel to the vehicle, keeping a certain distance and at a low altitude because [the girls] could see it without having to lift their heads”.
The moment they arrived at the entrance to the Agudos-SP, they “parked once more. According to witnesses,” the object has become very close thisa time. An oval shaped UFO was sighted by most of the population of Varginha-MG [1971]

“A few months ago, most of the population of Varginha, in the State of Minas Gerais, at approximately 19:00h had their attention drawn to an oval shaped object, predominantly silver, which not only circulated over the city but also it also hovered above certain points and districts of that city.

A large flying saucer with round windows was spotted in Guaratinguetá-SP [1954]
Guratinguetá-SP. Year: 1954. [Reported in December 6th, 1971].
TRANSLATION OF THE REPORT
“That night, around 9 pm, we were, as usual, two colleagues and I, talking by the sidewalk of a house on Vasco da Gama Street, which is where we lived at that time, that is, in 1954.
The night was cold, without moonlight. There was a stillness in the air that was vividly evident by the emptiness of the deserted streets, a natural fact, because, with the cold, everyone retreats earlier.
We, however, despite the cold, persisted there, next to the sidewalk, from where we could see a vast visual field, with a very starry sky.
At 1,500 meters from where we were, there is this hill ‘Morro do Passarinho’, which is bordered by the Presidente Dutra highway. Standing between us and the hill, there was a colleague’s house. So, in that glacial atmosphere, my attention was drawn to something: the reflections of lights that were outlined in various colors, outlining the contours of a large flying saucer. This, however, instead of coming towards us, stopped in the air and, spinning almost imperceptibly, it evolved over the hill for about 20 meters, and then, on a sudden move, headed towards the city of Cunha. In the meantime, before it disappeared on the slopes of the hill, I tried to show it to my colleagues Mário and Francisco.
However, due to a house I already mentioned, both saw, however, only the reflections of its light that were then extinguished on the slopes of the hill.
As can be seen from what was previously written, the procedure of the strange device, that is, the flying saucer, was very strange. However, it seems that this procedure is due to the presence of light, that is, the city lights which the flying saucer sought to avoid.
THE OBJECT FEATURES
Based on the distance and sharpness with which I saw it, it must have been about 14 meters in diameter, having in its upper part a large dome, which had a line of round windows around it, from which a mild light poured.
Notwithstanding the external colors of this light over the entire outline of the strange device, I had the distinct impression that inside the flying saucer a single yellow color with intense brightness shone. As for the metal that covered it, it had a coffee brown color.
From what I deduced, the strange device, that is, the flying saucer, headed towards Cunha-SP, as it disappeared on the slopes of the hill. However, without saying, I must add that there is a great possibility that it landed on the slopes of the hill.
Inspired by the Truth, and with God’s help, I conclude this report.
