DEC 23rd, 2007. Time: 19h22pm. Duration: 10 seconds. A witness residing in the Parque Dez neighborhood, in the city of Manaus, State of Amazonas, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object, that was “slow, [and] practically did not move”. The UFO was clear and luminous, being observed in a partially cloudy sky, and performed “a small lateral movement”. The witness also told COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] that he had some knowledge about UFOs and provided more details about the sighting, as can be read below:
“Informed that there were 2 clear and luminous flashes, the second being more intense. They occurred below the clouds with a small and slow lateral displacement. He also informed that the object did not have a defined shape and that it did not appear to have a firm consistency, appearing to be somewhat gelatinous, jelly-like form. He added that he had information, he did not say the source, that a similar event had occurred in Piauí and Portugal. JULY 28th, 2008. Time: 8:45 pm. For 25 minutes, the residents of a farm near the city of Camapuã, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, became desperate when they witnessed an unidentified flying object landing and then taking off just 1 km away from them. The UFO was round, emitted many lights and it was observed under good conditions of visibility and weather. The COMDABRA’s report [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], also informs that a retired military from the Aeronautics “contacted OPO-CG [Operational Permanence Officer of Campo Grande Air Base, State of Mato Grosso do Sul] and informed him that the residents of a farm near the municipality of Camapuã [MS] had reported  to him the presence of a UFO landing and taking off in the vicinity of the farm. He also reported that the incident caused despair to the residents. Loss of communications (phone / cell phone) was also reported ” .

SEPT 27th, 2008. Time: 18h37pm. The pilot of the flight TAM8002 from Salvador, State of Bahia, bound for Rio de Janeiro, RJ, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object when he was over the region of the city of Una, State of Bahia. According to the witness, under good visibility conditions, he saw the UFO move at a speed “much higher than the aircraft” of the TAM8002 flight and at an altitude of 10,000ft above this aircraft. In the observer’s perspective, towards the Southeast of Brazil, an unknown object flew from West to East, therefore in the West / East trajectory. The COMDABRA’s [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report also states that: “AFTER THE SIGHTING, [the Ufo] CONTINUED THE DISPLACEMENT AND DISAPPEARED IN THE HORIZON”.

OCT 17th, 2008. Time: 2:34 am. Duration: 60 seconds. Under good visibility conditions and a clear sky, two air traffic operators from the Control Tower of Santarém Airport (State of Pará) and another pilot of the GOL 1991 flight from Belém (Capital of Pará) to Santarém, spotted with the naked eye a spherical ball-sized red unidentified flying object. According to the three witnesses’ reports, the UFO traveled at high speed, moving from Northwest to Northeast at an altitude not specified by observers. The ‘red to dark-red’ object had the appearance of a falling star according to the report. Following is the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] informing the additional observations given by one of the witnesses: “AT 0534UTC A FLASH OF FIRE (FALLING STAR LIKE) WAS SEEN BY THE TWR / APP-SN, THEN THE OBJECT FOLLOWED APPARENTLY LEVELING FROM THE NORTHWEST DIRECTION IN A NEARBY ROUTE TO PROTECTION 070. AT THIS TIME, THE FLIGHT GOL 1991 WAS NEARBY AND THE PILOT WAS REQUESTED TO LOOK IN HIS 11 HOURS POSITION,  AND HE COULD ALSO OBSERVE THE OBJECT TOO: OBSERVATION PERIOD OF APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 60 SECONDS. “

DEC 18th, 2008. TIME: 9:00 pm. Duration: 30 seconds. A flight attendant, off duty, spotted a rond unidentified flying object with intense white color [among other undefined colors] from its residence in the city of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina. The UFO was flying at an altitude just below 30,000ft. According to the witness, the unknown object was traveling at a high speed towards the direction of the observer, when it took a 360° degree turn and suddenly disappeared. The report also informs that the object left abnormal trails of light color when it moved, first from West to East and then from South to North.°

APRIL 18, 2009. Time: 1:45 pm. Duration: 10 seconds. During a flight from the city of Curitiba, Paraná, to São Paulo, SP, a TAM pilot saw an unidentified flying object in the shape of a metallic triangle, about three meters wide and only 20 meters above of his aircraft. According to the witness, the UFO “flew with stability, defined bow” making “not so fast crossing”. He also stated that the object was flying in the same trajectory as the pilot’s flight, with a slightly lower speed than his plane’s, but both at an altitude of 37,000ft. Finally, the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] reports that “the pilot informed that the sighted object resembles an aerophotometry model.” The weather and visibility condition were described as being very good.

JULY 19th, 2009. Time: 18h50. Duration: 90 minutes. In Lagoa de Carcará, City of Nísia Floresta, State of Rio Grande do Norte, a witness observed for 90 minutes two unidentified flying objects with blue and red color, and star-like appearance. The two objects were sighted East of Lagoa do Carcará and heading South. The UFOs moved at variable speeds in a zigzag motion and at high altitude. A power failure was reported by the witness as a parallel phenomenon caused by the UFOs during the sighting. The additional observations in the COMDABRA’s report [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] further state that UFOs “were far apart, [and they] could be mistaken for stars”.

JULY 12th, 2010. Time: 16h15pm. Duration: 15 seconds. The pilot of an F5M fighter jet reported the detection of an unidentified flying object through the radar of his aircraft in the vicinity of the Anápolis Air Base, State of Goiás. According to the pilot, the UFO was heading North at an altitude of 38.000ft, and moving at a supersonic speed of 1.6 Ma [Mach] in front of the F5M at a distance of 20 NM [nautical miles]. Also according to the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command]: “The F5M pilot reported that he obtained radar contact with the UFO that was approximately on the FL380 in a 180° presentation (face to face). The F5M pilot interpreted that it was the Mirage alert from the Anápolis Air Base, however, after realizing the distance from the base, he disregarded it and the contact had already been lost. He informed that the number 3 of the Smoke Squadron also had contact on the F5M radar, but it was not possible to make the recording. “

JULY 16th, 2010. Time: 9:20 pm. Duration: 20 minutes. A flight controller in service at the Teresina Airport Control Tower, State of Piauí, along with 6 other witnesses, had visual contact with a small round silver and red unidentified flying object, moving fast vertically to reach an altitude of approximately 5,000ft. The UFO moved in a zigzag manner without leaving traces of condensation. Additional information from the COMDABRA’s [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report describes that:

“The observer was in SVC [service] at TWR-TE [Air Control Tower] and was alerted by observers in the maneuvering area and started to observe the phenomenon with the help of binoculars, with his service partner as a witness. He contacted the ACC-RE [Recife Approach Control] to ask him about the knowledge of any plots on the radar or plane in the area and after hearing a negative answer the ACC-RE passed the information to COPM while still seeing the object “

SEPT 18th, 2010. Time: 16h36pm. Duration: 02m06s. On an open and cloudless day, a resident of Alegrete, Rio Grande do Sul, spotted an unidentified flying object with a round shape and silver color, flying at low speed. The UFO was about 2km from the witness who described its size as larger than a car. The object flew slowly at an altitude of approximately 3km and moved from Northeast to Southeast. The report states that the UFO witness recorded the sighting on film, but the file was not made available. According to the additional observations in the COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report: “There was no registration record on the fuselage. The light at the top of the UFO spun emitting” flashes. “There were also lights at the bottom. More appearances on other days. “
