MAR 25th, 2012. Flying from Antonio Carlos Jobim Airport in Rio de Janeiro-RJ to Salgado Filho Airport in Porto Alegre-RS, the pilot and the co-pilot of flight GLO 1949 spotted an unidentified flying object about 30 meters long in size, resembling a dark balloon and traveling at a speed of over 700km/h. Witnesses spotted the UFO from a distance of approximately 5 km. The trajectory of the object that was at an estimated altitude of 38,000ft went in the Northeast direction.

APRIL 20th, 2012. At 11.05 pm, in the southeastern region of the city of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, near Serra do Curral, on a night of good visibility, a witness spotted three large white UFOs from his apartment window, with indefinite form and moving at great speed. The three UFOs were at an altitude of approximately 10 km and, according to the report, they left no trace of any kind when traveling. The sighting lasted two seconds.

MAY 8th, 2012. 11:10 am. Pilot’s report of the flight of PTB-2207 from SBRP [Ribeirão Preto Airport], to SBPA [Porto Alegre Airport]. His plane was traveling between the cities of Lages, (State of Santa Catarina) and Caxias do Sul (State of Rio Grande do Sul), when he spotted a large round black UFO slowly moving towards the Southwest direction at an altitude of approximately 32,000ft and about 10 NM [nautical miles] from the eyewitness’ plane. The COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report also states that the pilot “made a left turn, authorized by the ACC-CW [Curitiba].” The same document informs that “the ACC-CW did not observe other traffic in the sector” at that moment.

JUL 15th, 2012. Time: 19h40m. Clear sky. Near the Municipal Airport of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul. Duration: three minutes. A pilot of TAM airline company reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object, the size of a jet, 5NM in front of his aircraft. The UFO was moving in the opposite direction, with flashing red lights, at an altitude of approximately 20,000ft and heading Southwest. The COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report contains additional observations from the pilot, according to which, “the sighting appeared to be of an experimental aircraft, for military use”, also informing that the pilot “does not believe in UFO studies”.

JUL 18, 2012. Near Porto Trombetas Airport, city of Oriximiná, in the State of Pará, a pilot of an aircraft in plain flight spotted an unidentified flying object of amber color and undefined shape. It was apparently small and was at low speed and far from the eyewitness about 3 NM [nautical miles]. The pilot reported that, during the five minutes of observation under good visibility conditions, the object initially appeared to be stationary and that it began to move slowly as the plane approached, without leaving visible traces or causing interference on electronics, or even without being noticed by the TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) of your aircraft.

OCT 8th, 2012. At about 3 pm in the Ipanema neighborhood, city of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, an unidentified flying object of approximately 20 meters in size was sighted for 20 seconds by a witness who described it as having an elliptical form and silver color. The UFO was going straight in the Southeast direction at about 6km/h, and at a very low altitude, of only 15 meters from the ground, and also very close to the witness – about 20 meters from him and left a trail of white condensation.

DEC 3rd, 2013. At 8:53 pm, a military in the Control Tower at the Foz do Iguaçu Airport, Paraná, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object at an altitude of approximately 25,000ft and about 100NM [nautical miles] from the point where the eyewitness was. The UFO was heading the Southeast direction, and for thirty minutes, the object that had the appearance of “lights, apparently red dots”, according to the military, also presented itself as “lights with green dots or light blue”, in a movement that alternated acceleration and stop.

OCT 6th, 2013. Around 1:44 am in the city of Santo Antônio da Patrulha, State of Rio Grande do Sul, a journalist spotted and recorded on video [see below] three white round UFO’s, apparently small in size and varying the speed as they moved at random, “crossing and grouping in a single focus”. The UFO’s were about 200 meters high and above a high ground, and at a distance of approximately 1,200 meters from the eyewitness. The report of COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] also informs that the sighting took place in conditions of visibility somewhat impaired by the existing fog at the time and place of the event. The video recording [in 2 parts] with a total duration of 7m31s was attached to the report and made available to the public.

OCT 13th, 2013. The pilot and copilot of an A320 aircraft, of flight TAM3773 from Fortaleza, Ceará, to Brasília, DF, when flying over the Barreiras region, in the State of Bahia, at 21h34pm, had visual contact for about 7 seconds with an unidentified flying object of an “oval, large shape, same perspective of the moon”, of a luminous white color. The UFO was traveling approximately with a speed of “around 2,000km/h or more” at an altitude of about 5,000ft, and 1,000ft away from the TAM3773 aircraft. Also according to the pilot’s report, collected by the representative of COMDABRA, [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the UFO was heading in a straight line to the Northwest direction, but there was no visualization of a trace or any parallel phenomenon of interference in equipment.

DEC 24th, 2012. At 04h10am, when there was no aircraft traffic according to the knowledge of the ACC-CW [Curitiba Area Control Center], an aeronautical station operator and other employees at Cascavel Airport, Paraná, had visual contact with an unidentified circular flying object of bright white color, larger than a big aircraft. The object was observed during a period of two minutes and under good visibility conditions. According to the report of the aeronautical station operator, the UFO was sighted 7 km southwest of the airport, and was traveling at approximately 700 km / h, at an altitude of 20,000 feet and heading the west direction.
