– VRG 302, from Santarém to Manaus, reported having seen a luminous object between 140NM and 50NM in Manaus.

Manaus, September 12, 1994.
Subject: Transcription of Occurrence
I transcribe, the following occurrence verified in the LRO of ACC-MU, on September 6, 94 – 3rd Shift.
“I inform you that the VRG302 from SBSN [SANTARÉM-PA] to SBEG [MANAUS-AM] reported between 0014Z and 0023Z seeing an unidentified luminous object from FL310 until part of its descent for landing between 140NM and 70NM. I inform that the only known traffic was TBA501 from SBEG to SBBE, previously vectored by the APP to get rid of the VRG302. Even after its traffic was overcome, the VRG302 continued to spot the object. He later detailed (between 0100Z and 0109Z) that the sighted object was not captured as a target on his on-board radar, nor by the APP , and that the dimension of its light was, at its strongest, the equivalent of three or four times greater than the brightest star seen by the crew. He also explained that the sky was clear (without a cloud) and that when he approached the light, it became static and diminished in size, then disappeared, but which reappeared in front of him (between 30NM and 40NM) and disappeared again; this, according to Commander FROTA, was repeated a few times until he was no longer seen gives”. 22:08Z-COpM II info PL-LLS reported having observed an unidentified flying object when flying (the PT-LLS) from SBNT [Natal-RN] / SBFZ [Fortaleza-CE]. The object was 45NM from the VOR FZ. It was like several luminous objects between FL 400/500 levels. Then, the PT-LOF that flew from Terezina to SBFZ, when on the SBFZ radial 260, it observed at 64NM what it thought was a large meteorite. Finally, the PT-OFL that flew about 20NM from the PT-LOF (behind it) saw a light trail pass. All of this happened at around 9:48 pm. More precision in the information was not possible due to the lack of knowledge by COpM3 regarding the questionnaire forms. AEDA aware.

OCT 11th, 1994 and OCT 11th, 1994. A man reported two sightings of a static UFO during two days in a row in the Ceilândia region, Distrito Federal. The witness reported that the unidentified flying object had no definite shape, but was “larger than Venus when its brightness is intense”. He also stated that the object had a color that varied between green and red, and that he was unable to estimate the altitude at which the object remained during the two sightings. He and his wife spotted the unknown object in clear skies and with the naked eye.

NOV 11th, 1994. Time: 05:30. Duration: seconds. A person in Goiânia, State of Goiás, reported to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] an unidentified flying object that she had “observed ascending and zigzagging at 5:30 am, in the Eastern position, towards the North in reference to the observer, as if it were a star taking an oval shape”. Also according to the witness’ report, she had no way of “specifying the distance” from her to the object nor the altitude. The shiny silver-colored oval shaped UFO moved very quickly. The sighting was accompanied by one more person, and was carried out with good visibility conditions and tih the naked eye.

NOV 11th, 1994. 21:40. Duration: 30 minutes. In the Asa Norte region in Brasília, Distrito Federal, five people observed three large, luminous, white UFOs at a high altitude. The witness who reported the sighting to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] stated that “he was on the sidewalk of the store where she works, when she looked at the sky and saw something strange”. The three UFOs, according to the witnesses, moved in circular trajectories, being observed with the naked eye in a cloudy sky. The COMDABRA report also informs that they were: “3 bright lights, [with] the sky turning pink around these 3 lights. The phenomenon was observed by more people, who called COPM1 describing the same characteristics”.

NOV 20th, 1994. Time: 23:20. Duration: 5 minutes. From the Asa Norte region in Brasília, Distrito Federal, one person spotted ten small unidentified flying objects, with circular shapes and light blue color. According to the witness, the UFOs were flying close to each other at an altitude of about 500 meters. The sighting was carried out in cloudy sky with the naked eye. There were no reports of photographs or filming of the event.

NOV 26th, 1994. Time: 00:40 am. Duration: less than one minute. Six people observed an unidentified flying object near the landing strip at Belém Airport, in the State of Pará. According to witnesses, the UFO was “delta” shaped, small and its colors “varied between green and orange”. Still according to the report, the speed of the unknown object was “superior to the speed of a Boeing 737” and the UFO was seen flying from East to West. The sighting was done with the naked eye and with good visibility, not being filmed or photographed.

DEC 3, 1994. Time: 14:14. Duration: 1 minute. In the neighborhood of Nova Lima, in Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, a person spotted an unidentified flying object of elongated shape and white color, flying at high speed. According to the witness, the UFO was small and was at a high altitude moving in the South-North direction of the city. The sighting took place with the naked eye, on an afternoon of clear sky and good visibility. There were no photographs or footage of the event.

DEC 13th, 1994. Time: 04:00 am. Duration: not determined. From the window of her apartment in Asa Sul de Brasília, Distrito Federal, a woman with four other people observed, with the naked eye, an unidentified flying object with a round shape and silver color, flying at low speed. According to witnesses, the UFO was positioned right where “the Sun [normally is] at 08:00am” performing vertical and horizontal trajectories.

DEC 13th, 1994. 21:20. Duration: 30 minutes. At a cottage near Brasilia, Distrito Federal, a family observed an unidentified flying object shaped like a triangle, and “slightly larger than the Morning Star” as seen in the sky. According to the witness who contacted the COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the UFO emitted “intermittent flashes in the colors White, Red and Blue”, and remained stationary during the time of the sighting. The witness stated that the UFO was observed from a distance that he could not estimate, but, from his perspective, he stated that the object remained “just above the horizon at 15 degrees”. The entire sighting was performed with a “clear starry sky” and the use of binoculars. In the COMDABRA’s report, the following observations were made: “APP Brasília consulted; aircrafts did not see anything; APP BS and COPM I did not see anything. Obs. CMI released radio balloon probe [at] 21:28 pm (after the event started) “.
