AUG 23rd, 1995. Time: 23h48 pm. Duration: 10 minutes. During a flight between Brasília [DF] and Porto Alegre [RS], a pilot of the PT-LMO and his passenger spotted two unidentified flying objects when flying over the region of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina. According to the pilot, the UFOs were oval, small, and changed color, going from red to blue and violet. The objects flew at high speed, varying their positions in relation to the cardinal points, at an altitude close to FL370 [37,000 ft]. Regarding the proximity to the aircraft, the objects were “very close and sometimes moving away”, making “horizontal and vertical movements”, but always “varying between 9 and 12 hours from the PT-LMO”. The sighting took place on a clear night and was done with the naked eye.

SEPT 9th, 1995. Time: 18h50. Duration: 3 to 4 minutes. Four people of the same family observed two unidentified flying objects from “a car on the BR277 road, in the coast-Curitiba direction, in the Guatupê region, close to the Police Academy.” According to the witnesses, the UFOs were round “with yellow lights around them and a strong reddish light centered at the bottom”. The unknown objects were “initially stopped [distant 5km from each other], then they turned off the lights, went upwards, came back and disappeared in the eastern direction”, coming from the West, at an altitude of about 2,000 meters. The objects were between 30 and 40 meters in diameter, emitted a “strong sound, similar to that of an airplane” and were about 500 meters away from witnesses in the car. The sighting took place on a clear night and with the naked eye.

OCT 14th, 1995. Time: 19h00. Duration: 30 minutes. On the beach in Peruíbe, on the south coast of the State of São Paulo, four people observed an unidentified flying object “coming out of the sea” about 100 meters away. According to the witnesses, the UFO was oval, white, appeared to be four centimeters at first and then increased in size “gradually”. The unknown object remained stationary during the sighting at about 100 meters high. The sighting was made with the naked eye, with cloudy sky. No photographs of the sighting were taken.

NOV 11th, 1995. Time: 19h09. Duration: 40 minutes. A pilot of the PT-OFD and three other people, while flying from Cuiabá [MT] to São Paulo [SP], observed for 40 minutes an unidentified flying object, that was stationary, with the form of green, red and white lights. According to the pilot’s report, the UFO was at FL350 altitude  [35,000ft] and about 200 miles [?] from the aircraft with the witnesses. Still according to the pilot, photographs were taken of the unknown and distant object that was observed with the naked eye. The report from COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] also states that: “This is the PT-OFD pilot flying from SBCY TO SBSP, FL230, speed 230kt, type BR 9 FL”.

DEC 1st, 1995. Time: 15h48. Duration: 10 minutes. A man from Luziânia, State of Goiás, reported that he spotted about six unidentified flying objects performing circular movements in the vicinity of the Industrial Sector of Luziânia. According to the witness, the UFOs observed were round, with colors between metallic gray and ice white. They were about 2.5m high and were very quiet. The UFOs, according to the observer’s description, remained close to each other and at a high altitude. The witness reported that the first time he noticed the presence of UFOs was in March of that same year of 1995. Also according to the COMDABRA’s report [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the witness stated that: “he receives defense messages in the sense of protection of the Planet Earth. Possible attacks using rays from solar energy. “

JAN 14th, 1996. Time: 18h45. Duration: 2 hours. When they were close to their homes in Taguatinga Norte, in the Federal District, five people observed two unidentified flying objects at an altitude of about 3,000 meters. According to the report informed to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the witnesses “were out and saw a huge motionless star; then they saw another object that moved with great speed”. One of the UFOs, according to the description made, was shaped like a white “three-pointed star”, resembling a ‘searchlight in the sky’ and remained stationary during the sighting. The five people saw the UFOs with the naked eye in a clear night sky. The call to inform the sighting to COMDABRA was made while the event was still taking place, around 21h25. The witness who reported the case to the Air Force, “called later to inform that the object was even closer.”

JAN 31st (11h00) and FEB 1st (10h40), 1996. Duration: 10 minutes. Three people of the same family in the region of Taguatinga, Federal District, close to the Catholic College of Taguatinga, observed two UFOs in the shape of a star for two days in a row, emitting a silver color, about 3km high, and positioned “to the south of Brasília”. According to the witnesses’ reports, the two unidentified objects were flying slowly and separately without leaving a trace. They were moving in opposite directions between East and West in the city. The sighting of the UFOs by the three witnesses took place on a clear day and with the naked eye.

FEB 15th, 1996. Time: 19h57. Duration: 30 min. In the Recanto das Emas region, Distrito Federal, eight people observed a round white UFO at a high altitude, performing “slow and sporadic” movements for more than half an hour. According to the witnesses, the sighting of the unidentified flying object was carried out with the naked eye and in good weather. The observers did not know how to estimate the distance between them and the sighted UFO, nor did they know how to inform the direction in which it went. Also according to the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], it was observed that: “TWR BR [Brasília Airport Control Tower] and COPM 1 found nothing abnormal”.

MARCH 18th, 1996. Time: 21h14. Duration: 15 minutes. A pilot and a co-pilot reported the sighting, with the naked eye, of an unidentified flying object when flying from Belo Horizonte [State of Minas Gerais] to Belém [State of Pará]. According to the pilots’ report, the UFO was a “pulsating light” with the size “twice that of the Morning Star”. According to them, the color of the UFO varied between red and white, and its speed was approximately 420 kt [777 km / h]. The unknown object followed a horizontal path, then a vertical one. According to the description of the pilots in the COMDABRA’s report [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], “when it was levelled, [we] observed a light rising, crossing approximately FL 240 [24,000 feet] or FL 250, in its two o’clock position”. The pilots also reported that the object maintained a distance from their aircraft, between 2NM and 5NM [nautical miles], and that the position of the UFO in relation to the cardinal points was “two to three hours from the azimuth 280° to 300°”. Still in the observation of the COMDABRA’s report, it is stated that: “The commander […] informed that this is the fourth observation in his career in the regions of Belo Horizonte and Belém do Pará, also”.

MARCH 20th, 1996. Time: 19h30. Duration: 45minutes. Seven people in the city of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, observed a stationary UFO for 45 minutes in the northwest region of the city. According to the descriptions made by the witnesses, the unidentified object was round, white and blue and had the appearance of  a star, but “slightly larger than the Morning Star” when observed in the survey. The UFO, according to the sighting report, hovered about 50 meters from the ground, being observed with binoculars by the witnesses. Still according to the report, the sky was clear and the visibility conditions were favorable.
