MARCH 18th, 1999. Time: 18h30 pm. Duration: 2 minutes. Two people in Colombo, State of Paraná, spotted an oval silver UFO on a clear night in the vicinity of Clube Santa Mônica. The unidentified flying object flew at low altitude, making circular movements. Also according to the witnesses, the UFO moved at a fast speed going from East to West. There were no photographs or video of the sighting, and there was also no record of condensation trails in the trajectory of the UFO.

MARCH 19th, 1999. Time: 16h15, Duration: 3 minutes. In Sobradinho I, Distrito Federal, two unidentified flying objects were observed by two people under good visibility conditions. According to the witnesses, the two round UFOs were red and silver, and were stationary during the whole sighting. They took no photographs and reported no traces of condensation from the observed objects.

APRIL, 5th, 1999. Time: 05h20 am. Duration: 40 minutes. A resident of Ribeirão Preto, State of São Paulo, reported seeing an unidentified flying object with a round shape and colors ranging from orange, red and blue. According to the witness, the object remained stationary most of the time, and from her position – in relation to the observed UFO and the object’s altitude – it seemed that the object was “the same size as the Moon”, as seen in the firmament. Additional observations in the COMDABRA’s report [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] state that it was: “Moon-sized object, positioned above it as if it formed a number” 8 “(eight). The sighting took place in the backyard of the witness’ house.”

APRIL 21st, 1999. Time: 20h00 pm. Duration: 01h30m. In the city of Assis Chateaubriand, State of Paraná, on a night of clear sky and good visibility, four people spotted an unidentified flying object moving from the South to the North of the region. The UFO had a star shape and emitted an intermittent red light. Despite the good visibility condition for the sighting, the witnesses did not report seeing any condensation trail left by the observed object.

MAY 25th, 1999. Time: 8:00 pm. Duration: approx. 1 minute. An unidentified flying object with a cigar shape and a red color was spotted by two people in the city of Caruaru, State of Pernambuco. According to the witnesses, the UFO flew at low speed and was the size “compatible with a Fokker 100” plane. The object was about 10km away from the observers, heading North in a straight line.

According to additional observations about the sighting in the COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report, the UFO was:

“an object identified as a cigar mothership that moved uniformly horizontally, large, with very bright red and yellow lights, headed towards the moon’s ocular direction and hid behind clouds and that did not appear soon after.”

MAY 29th, 1999. Time: 11:00 pm. Duration: 30 seconds. In the Asa Norte district, in Brasília, Distrito Federal, two people from the same family spotted an unidentified flying object with an oval shape, white color and rotating motion. From the perspective that the two witnesses had in relation to the position of the UFO, and its altitude, the object appeared to be “larger than the Moon” seen in the sky.

According to the testimony given to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] by one of the witnesses, it was observed that he: “He was on the balcony of the apartment when the object appeared. He called his wife who also observed the object, and it lasted more or less 30 seconds. “

JUNE 10th, 1999. Time: 08h00 pm. Duration: 30 minutes. In the city of Getulina, State of São Paulo, a man observed an unidentified flying object hovering just 10 meters away from him. The UFO was round, white and had 3 meters of diameter. According to the witness, the UFO was stationary, and it was just three feet from the ground.

“He reported that the object was three feet high and that it had three arms that seemed to want to take something. The next day, he returned to the site and found that the vegetation was burnt.”

JUNE 15th, 1999. Time: 8:10 pm. Duration: 1h10m. During the flight TAM 825 from SBGO [Santa Genoveva Airport, Goiânia] to SBCG [Campo Grande Airport], seven members of the flight crew observed, for an hour and ten minutes, an unidentified flying object in the form of a very bright light. strong and white, “like 8 Boeing headlights”. According to the witnesses who reported the sighting to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], the sky was “100% clear” and it was possible to see the UFO at the same altitude as flight TAM 825, 35,000ft, following the aircraft at a higher speed in the “2 o’clock” position in relation to the airliner.

Following are the sighting observations made by one of the crew witnesses on board:

“After the aircraft took off from SBGO, when crossing 10,000ft, an object with intense light was spotted by the entire crew. The ACC BR [Area Control Center-Brasília] and ACC CW [Area Control Center-Curitiba] were informed by the radio but they reported that there was no traffic and contact.

The aircraft climbed and stabilized at FL 350. During the whole [..] during about 01:00 hours of flight, the object was observed by the crew.

At 132 NM [nautical miles] from SBCG the object slowed down and began to change color to blue, red and white until it disappeared from view.

Obs. The light was intense but pulsating.“

JULY 13th, 1999. Time: 11:50 pm. Duration: 15 minutes. In the vicinity of Ribeirão Preto Airport, State of São Paulo, four people from the same family spotted a yellow light UFO moving in circles and sometimes remaining stationary, before heading west. Below is the description of a family member detailing the UFO sighting to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command]:

“The light was close to the airport. It came from East to West. It stopped and then rotated 360°, too fast to be any aircraft. The light stopped, started to blink and then disappeared, reappearing at the same point; blinked. An airplane that was coming soon passed by it. The yellow light disappeared and never came back. “

JULY 7th, 1999. Time: 8:00 pm. In Campo Mourão, State of Paraná, five people observed a big star-like UFO, with colors varying between orange and yellow. According to the witnesses, the unidentified flying object remained stationary in the western direction for the entire period of  the sighting, about 40km away from the observers. The weather conditions were good and the communication to report the sighting to COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] was made at the time of the event.
