JAN 1st, 2015. At 03h04am, in Guaratiba, Rio de Janeiro-RJ, in the vicinity of the Michelin factory, eleven (11) people reported seeing an unidentified flying object with a round shape and white and blue lights. According to the report given by one of the witnesses to the representative of COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command], a student pilot, the object’s shape was of “an inaccurate point”, moving “faster than an approaching aircraft”. The same student pilot described that the object’s approximate altitude was 3,000 feet and that it performed sudden movements. The same witness claimed to have observed the object with binoculars, and also to have tried to film the object, but without success. The entire sighting by the 11 witnesses lasted about one minute under good weather conditions.

JAN 7th, 2015. Time: 20h30. The Salvador Approach Control (APP-SV) obtained the information that “a federal highway policeman had spotted an illuminated UFO going up and down in the sky over the city of Alagoinhas, State of Bahia, at around 20h30 pm”. According to the report by COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] based on the information from the APP-SV, “after several attempts, there was no contact to obtain further details about the fact”.

JAN 15th, 2015. In Curitiba, Paraná, at 19h51pm a mechanical engineer with knowledge in UFO field research and four more people spotted, with good visibility, two unidentified metallic objects, oval in shape, with about 50 meters of size each, and traveling at about 100km/h. According to witnesses, the objects were at an altitude of approximately 3 km, and, during the 10 minutes of the sighting, they repeatedly moved closer and further away from each other. The UFOs went from the vicinity of the Oscar Niemayer Museum to the city center of Curitiba, in a trajectory reported as from east to west. One of the witnesses recorded the video sighting on his/her cell phone and attached it to the COMDABRA’s [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report, but this video file was not made available in the Declassified Files by the military.

FEB 2nd, 2015. From 04h57am, for about 10 minutes, the pilot of an aircraft in a flight 55 nautical miles distant from Aracaju, State of Sergipe, reported seeing an unidentified object, flying very fast, and crossing ahead of his aircraft from right to left at about 2,000 feet of altitude. Regarding the form and nature of what may have been the object sighted, the witness’ testimony to COMDABRA’s representative [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] also informed: “Bright lights, speed incompatible with known aircraft. I couldn’t identify whether it would be a star or a satellite. It was sighted for 10 minutes “.

APRIL 10th, 2015. Five people spotted a bright multicolored spherical UFO in Brasília-DF, at 02h10am, moving from NE to SW. The ocurrence was oberved by the witnesses for about one minute under a clear sky and good weather. The COMDABRA’s representative [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] filled the report with information given by one of the witnesses who is a military. The representative also wrote his observations in the report: “Telephone contact was made with APP-BR and this agency questioned some aircraft flying in the region, but no one saw the fact reported by the Captain.”

MAY 9th, 2015. At 18h04pm, two pilots from the same brazilian air company reported an unidentified flying object – detected by the TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) of their plane – moving at a speed approximately of 450 km/h and heading Northeast from the State of Rio de Janeiro’s airspace. Still according to the report, the event lasted five minutes and it was only detected by the TCAS.

JUNE 17, 2015. At 8h52pm, a pilot with an aircraft 129 km from Recife, capital of Pernambuco, was alerted by the TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) of his plane that an object was dangerously close to his aircraft moving back and forth. According to the pilot’s descriptions, the visibility and flight conditions were “CAVOK” (Ceiling and Visibility Okay). The report wrote by the COMDABRA’s representative [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] brings the following observations made by the pilot: “Hotel traffic [a military codename for UFO] viewed only at TCAS 2,500 feet below the observer. He needed to perform evasive maneuver. [He] saw in the TCAS sudden movements going from right to left repeatedly; after having overtaken the Traffic [UFO], he noticed [that] the “UFO” abruptly increased its speed, again overtaking him, and disappeared from the equipment. The contact took place in RDL311 at 70NM from REC [Recife- PE Airport].

JULY 4th, 2015. Under a clear sky, around 01h40 in the morning, an operator at the Manaus Air Base Tower spotted an object without a defined shape and in a static position, resembling medium intensity lights. The object was seen in the vicinity of one of the airfield’s airstrips. As the official report informs, there was a video and image recording made by cell phone, attached to the occurrence file, but they were not made available to the AN’s UFO Fund. The observations of those who took the testimony of the eyewitness are as follows: “THE OPERATOR OF THE HOUR REPORTED A SIGHTING OF AN OBJECT NEAR THE AIRSTRIP 09 OF SBMN [Manaus Air Base] APPROXIMATELY [AT] 1500FT AND KEPT STANDING [STILL] IN THE AIR FOR 05 MINUTES, IT WAS NOTED THAT SUCH UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT EMITTED LIGHTS OF MEDIUM ITENSITY CONSTANTLY AND SIMPLY DISAPPEARED, SOON AFTER THERE WAS A PRIMARY PLOT IN THE REPEATER (X- 4000), SITUATED IN THE CONTROL TOWER, NEXT TO THE ARANKE POSITION (FIXED) POSITION. JULY the 8th, 2015. “Around 00h50 AM, the São Paulo Approach Control supervisor [APP-SP] called informing that approximately four aircrafts had reported a UFO in the Northwest sector of Campinas [SP] (Radial 050 / 08NM). The aircraft were flying between levels FL140-FL170 [14.000 to 17.000] and the UFO was sighted between levels FL120-FL130 [12.000 to 13.000 feet] “, wrote the COMDABRA’s representative [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] to complete the case file . The object was descibed as a bright light and the weather conditions at that time were good. The report was given by a military from the APP-SP, and also states, according to the witnesses, that the visual contact lasted twenty minutes and its motion could be dectected by the TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) of the airplanes.

JULY, 23rd, 2015. 11:15 am. In a clear sky night over the city of Palmas, capital of the State of Tocantins, a flashing luminous object with no defined shape with colors oscillating between blue and green was spotted by four witnesses from three different airliners. According to them, the object was at an altitude of approximately 34,000 feet, moving in a straight line in the SE / NE direction following air traffic. The sighting lasted about 20 minutes. The official report also included complementary observations made by COMDABRA’s representative [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] based on the information provided by the witnesses present on the flights of the airlines involved, and attached to the official report as follows: “AZU ### [flight info omitted] first reported to this Center that it observed traffic at its 3 o’clock position, not informing the distance, it reported a trajectory similar to its and with variation in colors and maneuvers. Then, we were informed by RIO ### [flight info omitted] that it also saw unknown traffic, and that the information passed by AZU ### [flight info omitted] was consistent with what its crew could observe. And the same thing happened to GLO ### [flight info omitted], which also spotted the traffic. AZU ### [flight info omitted] was asked about the weather conditions at the time, [and] it was said that the sky was clear from the position where the traffic was spotted.
