“They’re surrounding São Paulo” – air traffic controllers detected UFOs flying around the state. [1984]

On November 11, 1984, from 00:30 to 01:36, 1 aircraft and 4 air traffic control centers in a region close to the city of São Paulo-SP communicated with each other to deal with sightings and detections of several unidentified flying objects over the State of São Paulo.

First, the APP-SP [São Paulo-SP Approach Control] called the ACC-BS [Brasília Area Control Center] reporting that it was detecting an object on the radar at 5NM São Paulo-SP, in the position Southeast. The ACC-BS replied that it had no aircraft flying, but that they also had detected an object flying very slowly, around “13 knots” and changing direction several times.

The Brasília Center triggered the Air Defense that confirmed the detection and was informed that the São Paulo Center had also detected it first. The person in charge of the ACC-BS tells the COpM [Military Operations Center] that it could not be just a confusion with the cloud, at that speed, because “the cloud changing the bow all the time is difficult, right?”.

The Control Tower at the Airport of São Paulo-SP [Congonhas] stated, when contacted, that it was also not an aircraft, as there were no flights there at that time.

The ACC-BS then reports that the previously “very slow” object varied rapidly from 15 knots to 500 knots. This provoked reactions and comments from the São Paulo Tower Operator and the ACC-BS:

After disappearing from the radar screens in Brasília and São Paulo for a few moments, the Center of São Paulo informs that it was detecting the object above the city of São Paulo. And the operator of the Tower of São Paulo says at that time that several calls were being made there without him being able to answer them all, even confessing to having turned the phone off for a moment.

In communication with another operator in Brasília, the operator of the São Paulo Tower [Congonhas] states that he viewed the UFO with binoculars and that he was 17 miles from Congonhas Airport. Then it would be 1 mile from the Congonhas VOR.

At this time, more telephone calls are made to TWR-SP, and the operator reports to the center of Brasilia that he had already served 3 civilians. 2 women and a man looking for information about the UFO they were sighting too.

Then, when the TWR-SP operator with the radar detects a UFO over Santana-SP and another over Itanhém-SP, the ACC-BS operator in Brasília states that a UFO was over the Jaraguá neighborhood. At the same time, the TWR-SP operator had already realized that there were not only two, but several UFOs.

ACC-BS and ACC-SP communicated and exchanged information passed on by TWR-SP. At one point, one of the operators reported that he already had a UFO in the region 13 miles from Campinas-SP and in the northern sector of São Paulo. The ACC-BS operator commented that “they are surrounding São Paulo”, and warns that a Boeing 737 aircraft was approaching São Paulo so, that the ACC-SP should contact Brasilia in case “this gang flies over him” and that if that happened it was for him to warn.

The UFO detections then appear in other areas such as Ubatuba-SP and São José dos Campos-SP, and the ACC-BS Operator informed that there is a UFO “well bonded with VARIG 956” approaching São Paulo.

In the end, São Paulo Control Center came to detect “8 primary, clear targets, one far from the other”

In Brasília-DF and São Paulo-SP, air traffic controllers detected several UFOs [1984]

NOV 1st, 1984. Time: 00:31. Duration: not determined. At 00:31 on November 1, 1984, the Brasília-DF Area Control Center [ACC-BS] activates the São Paulo-SP Approach Control [APP-SP] to find out if there were any aircraft flying, because they were “detecting a runway 5 NM southeast of São Paulo, at a speed of 13kt [24km/h], constantly varying from the bow”. At that time, APP-SP had not yet detected anything.

At 00:40, the ACC-BS was already detecting 2 “plots”: one to the southeast of Itanhaém-SP and the other to the vertical of São Paulo-SP. This time the APP-SP confirms the contacts. Meanwhile, at TWR-SP [São Paulo Airport Control Tower] operators were seeing “with a binocular, a white and yellow light”.

The TWR-SP, by that time, had already registered 3 phone calls reporting the UFO, and APP-SP ” detected not only 2, but several unidentified ‘plots‘”.

00:40 – “APP-SP has 2 contacts: one on the 155º radial, 8 to 9NM; and the other was on top of Santana-SP and moved to the 340/343 radial at 16/17NM”, while the ACC -BS now had a plot near São Paulo, without Santana. “APP-SP even had 4 large primary ‘plots’ in the northern sector between 8 to 16 NM outside São Paulo”.

At that time, the two control centers in Brasília and São Paulo “simultaneously lost and recovered contact with UFOs”. However, at 00:46, APP-SP had 7 ‘plots’ in the São Paulo region and 4 ‘plots’ in the north, up to 8NM. According to the report, the primary ‘plots’ were the size of a Boeing. Radar contacts have also been reported to the south of Santos-SP. Gradually the reports were diminished until nothing was reported from aircrafts or control centers that day.

Four aircrafts and an operator reported a metallic UFO in Foz do Iguaçu-PR and nearby [1985]

Military report on the ground and reports of 4 aircraft in flight in the region.

AUG 22nd, 1985. Time: 08:36. Duration: 20 minutes [for the military]; several hours [for the population]. At 8:36 am, an unidentified flying object was observed by several people from the city of Foz do Iguaçu, in the state of Paraná. The reporting witness, a military operator of the Control Tower at Foz do Iguaçu Airport, reported “that he was seeing an unidentified flying object in the vicinity of the airport”. According to the Operator’s report, he saw, with binoculars, at 11:30 am, a UFO “in the form of a plate with a kind of “pigtail”, and the triangular upper part, containing two antennas”. The UFO was orange in color and was sometimes stationary, sometimes moving slowly.

a) PPCLA – The 300-SC 902, took off at 10:32h destination: Asunción [Paraguay], FL220, observed through binoculars, a metallic object, apparently spherical, before the FL 220/280, and requested ascent to PL 280 for better observation: the object moved vertically upwards at incalculable speed, not allowing its identification.

b) TR463, arriving at FL 280 flying from LO to FI, 60NM outside, reported that the object was beyond FL 500 (12: 45h).

12: 55h – Reported that the object was vertical, at 17 NM Aerodrome.

12: 57h – Apparently downloading.

15: 59Z – TR 463 made 360°, and the object chased him to his right.

At 3:40 pm, Sergeant Pacheco reported the following report of the PT LFT aircraft (LEAR JBT-25); RG 161 and TR463.

a) PT coming from SBSP destination SBPI, at 2:15 pm reported seeing an apparently circular object with a metallic color tail, on radius 086 of the SBFI VOR at 44NM.

b) The same aircraft took off from SB FI at 2:59 pm to SB SP and saw the object in the same radial at 61 NM from SB FI.

c) TR 463 SBUD / SBFI when in the procedure, at 11:00am for landing at 4,500 feet, he spotted the object. The aircraft reported that it made a turn to the left of 360º and the object during the turn remained on its right, after which the object moved much faster than his aircraft; reported that it was a circular object with a metallic tail.

d) RG 161 SB PI / SBCT DBP 12:30h requested to keep the object’s bow. When leveled FL 270 reported that the object was high, he also reported that the object was circular, with a metallic-colored tail.

Letter reporting experiments and paranormal contacts with UFOs in Rio Branco-AC in 1981 [1985]

SEPT 19th, 1985. In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Aeronautics, from the city of São José do Rio Preto, State of São Paulo, a man writes to report “paranormal contacts with unidentified flying objects” during and after a seminar taken place in Rio Branco-AC.

Following is the translation of the letter:

São José do Rio Preto, September 19, 1985.

Your Excellency Minister of Aeronautics

We are pleased to contact you, to discuss a matter concerning an operation carried out by SNI and Aeronautics, during the first ADESG seminar held in November 1981 in the city of Rio Branco in the state of Acre.

In November 1981, we as employees of the Federal University of Acre were invited by ADESG to make the recordings of the seminar. During the first half of November when the seminar was taking place, SNI carried out a ‘conditioning’ with us, it was an ‘Operation of a confidential nature’ on the streets of Rio Branco.

This conditioning led us to come into contact with the UFO Phenomenon, that is, we witnessed an Unidentified Flying Object and thus it aroused in us the paranormal through a type of telepathic contact that started to happen through the provocation by the UFOs of successive discharges of electricity in the cloudless atmosphere, at night.

Air Force officers and SNI agents participated in the Operation; I don’t know how they found out that, in me, it would trigger such paranormal conditions.

We were taken over by the phenomenon empire until very recently; we have already undergone psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment and have been able to withstand these paranormal contacts through neuroleptic drugs.

Today, after three years of contact with the phenomenon, we have learned to live with the unknown; we no longer need medication because the paranormal has become bearable, but contacts through electrical discharges continue to answer my questions.

We have communicated EMFA and now we are communicating the Air Force that led us to the phenomenon; we are aware of the existence of the SIOANI created confidentially by the FAB, which becomes the SYSTEM OF INVESTIGATION OF UNIDENTIFIED AIR OBJECTS.

Since 1982 we have dedicated ourselves to research and now we request the possibility to research the phenomenon together with SIOANI in an official way. Would this be possible, since I am officially connected to the phenomenon?

Right after the VOR PMI blockade (Pará de Minas) light was observed in the sky at 11 Hrs. The aircraft was flown on the bow of VOR BHZ (Belo Horizonte) from SBUR (Uberaba) in good weather conditions (VSB over 10 km and clear night). APP-BH questioned whether an object was seen on radial 170 that was being observed by TWR-BH but not detected by radar (ASR).

Answered affirmatively, it was coordinated with the APP-BH flight in the vicinity of the observed object, aiming at a better determination of its nature, including with the use of a camera. The flight was performed up to an approximate distance of 4NM at an altitude of 6800/7000 Ft.

The object that initially appeared to be unique, consisted of two larger foci of light. The largest had two illuminated sectors, one half-structure and the smallest, as if it were the indirect light from the mouth of a large balloon, at the bottom. There was also a smaller light (strong orange point) that moved vertically and horizontally below and just beside the smaller one (attached sketch). Around the object and below was a cloud bank of the SC (Strato-Cumulus) type.

Three aircrafts reported simultaneous UFO sightings in the State of São Paulo[1986]

SEPT 21st, 1986. Time: 21:15.

Three aircrafts [one military] reported UFO sightings in São Paulo.

FAB 2176 (SBRJ / SBSJ in FL 090). Duration: not determined. The pilot of the Brazilian Air Force FAB 2176 plane reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object at 12-hours in relation to his aircraft. According to the witness, the UFO was “similar to Venus when this planet is at its brightest. Yellowish in color. It said, however, that it was not Venus. The UFO was round, yellow and was apparently stationary. According to the pilot’s report, “in the first sighting, the object was 6° from the horizon. Upon reaching FL090, the object was about 1° from the horizon. Apparently the object had rotational movements around the axis itself. Everyone aboard [FAB] 2176 was military “. TF 406 (SBRJ / SBRP – FL 100 at about 20NM behind FAB 2176). Duration: 20 minutes. The pilot of TF 406, flying on the same route as the FAB 2176, positioned just behind about 20 NM [nautical miles] away, near the city of Marília-SP, also reported seeing a large unidentified flying object “probably 45 meters wide, which is equivalent to a DC10 approximately”. According to the TF 406 pilot, the UFO was also positioned at 12 o’clock in relation to his aircraft. The object was white and red, and had “two headlights together and a red rotating headlight on the top”. The UFO, according to his description, “was oval or rectangular, because there were two lights, one next to the other”, and it maintained the same speed as the TF 406 aircraft. The object remained at a distance of 10 to 15 NM from the aircraft, and “only when it moved away to the sea side it was observed that it decreased in size”. Along with the pilot on TF 406 was just one more person.

Complementary Observations: “Almost simultaneously, the TR 462 D (SBGL / SBBR FL 350 – 80NM from Confins, sector NNW – 9 o’clock position) when flying at about 80 NM [nautical miles] from Confins [Belo Horizonte-MG Airport ], reported a 9-hour sector UFO sighting”.

A pilot reported a large UFO casting beams of light in his direction near Uberaba-MG [1986]

AUG 5th, 1986. Time: 19:46. Duration: not determined. The aircraft PT-JTZ, on the route between the cities of Rio de Janeiro-RJ and Uberaba-MG, contacted the DPV-UR [Uberaba-MG Flight Protection Department] asking “if there were any aircraft close to the ‘FRANCA position’ at FL 180 [18.000ft]” and got a negative answer. According to the pilot of the PT-JTZ, the unidentified flying object had a round shape, large size, white color of strong intensity and remained stationary while observed. The pilot also stated that “the object did not look like any celestial star and cast strong beams of flashing lights in his direction”.

In Vinhedo-SP, eight people reported 6 large UFOs moving fast [1986]

August 3, 1986. Time: 6:30 pm. Duration: 40 minutes. A group of eight people “when in a farm in the city of Vinhedo [State of São Paulo] observing the sky, noticed the presence of strange objects that moved with an amazing speed” towards Campinas-SP. According to the witness, there were 6 UFOs, with one of the objects “having the shape of a large luminous star, which moved in the aforementioned direction, employing a high speed, varying from white to orange; and sometimes moving alone, sometimes moving grouped with two or more objects”. The witness further stated that when he called CINDACTA, he was still seeing the objects “.

Four aircrafts reported UFO sightings at the same time [1986]

August 12, 1986. Time: 6:45 pm. The ACC-BS [Area Control Center of Brasília-DF] received a call from a military man reporting that “04 aircrafts were seeing lights in very high positions”. According to the report, the aircraft that observed the unidentified flying objects were the SC 881, PT KPB, TF-536 and SC 144. All in different locations, in the Southeast region of Brazil.

The pilots of the SC 114 and TF 536 aircraft reported their sightings.

Duration: 5 minutes. The SC 114 pilot reported that he first observed the unidentified flying objects at 18:50, in the “3-hour position of the aircraft and very far away”. First, the witness “believed” it was a “reflection of sunlight”, but the object changed “from white to opaque”. The UFO, still according to the pilot’s report, carried out a “trajectory in the vertical direction”.

Duration: 3 minutes. The TF 536 pilot reported that he first observed two UFOs at 18:40, with one white UFO “at 12 o’clock, 30° above the horizon, and the second [UFO] to the right of the aircraft. According to the pilot, the UFOs were “like a star, increasing in size, forming a halo (as if burning); [also] there was sunlight illuminating the halo.” In the pilot’s description, the second UFO only left a small trail of displacement and both UFOs performed horizontal trajectories.

Your Excellency Minister of Aeronautics

We are pleased to contact you, to discuss a matter concerning an operation carried out by SNI and Aeronautics, during the first ADESG seminar held in November 1981 in the city of Rio Branco in the state of Acre.

Air Force officers and SNI agents participated in the Operation; I don’t know how they found out that, in me, it would trigger such paranormal conditions.

We were taken over by the phenomenon empire until very recently; we have already undergone psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment and have been able to withstand these paranormal contacts through neuroleptic drugs.

Today, after three years of contact with the phenomenon, we have learned to live with the unknown; we no longer need medication because the paranormal has become bearable, but contacts through electrical discharges continue to answer my questions.

We have communicated EMFA and now we are communicating the Air Force that led us to the phenomenon; we are aware of the existence of the SIOANI created confidentially by the FAB, which becomes the SYSTEM OF INVESTIGATION OF UNIDENTIFIED AIR OBJECTS.

Since 1982 we have dedicated ourselves to research and now we request the possibility to research the phenomenon together with SIOANI in an official way. Would this be possible, since I am officially connected to the phenomenon?
