An airline crew reported a big blue UFO near Salvador-BA [1997]

AUG 8th, 1997. Time: 19h40 pm. Duration: 15 seconds. Right after takeoff at Salvador Airport, State of Bahia, bound for Rio de Janeiro Airport, RJ, about 20 NM [nautical miles] from Salvador, the VARIG 343 flight crew spotted “a luminous spot  when crossing FL090 “[altitude 9,000 ft] with the naked eye,. According to the witnesses’ report, the UFO was large, blue, shaped like a “comet with a tail”, and was relatively close when it passed going in a West/East direction at high speed. The COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report also informs that the report was communicated by the VARIG 343 crew with the aircraft still in flight.
