Translation of the report:
“At 22:52Z, the pilot of FAB 2079 (RF / NT FL 070), [going from Recife-PE to Natal-RN] reported that he was seeing a strong light as if it were landing lights of an aircraft, approximately on the 330 degree radial of the VOR REC, at 45 NM and between [levels] FL 060/070. This strong light appeared to be stationary, however it was not possible to identify the source of the luminosity. The plane VASP PP-SNA (FZ / RF) [ from Fortaleza-CE to Recife-PE] was asked to make a detour to that sector in order to confirm the existence of the light, having then reported that there was nothing unusual. The FAB 1957 (NT / RF) was also asked to observe, and reported nothing in that area mentioned by the FAB 2079. The ACC RECIFE [Air Control] reported not knowing about traffic in that sector. ” /M.M.V. 1TEN ESP CTA / “
