A Retired General’s report on the sighting of a UFO during a trip on highway BR-116, near Realeza-MG.
“Event: We were going on a journey, my family and I, from Rio de Janeiro-RJ to Vitória da Conquista-BA, when it was first seen by my wife and soon after by me, a flying object at an approximate distance of 2 km, on the left from the highway and at an estimated height of between 600 and 800 meters.
The object, that my wife thought it was a comet, flew from West to East, at a speed that I considered average for this type of aircraft, as I will explain later.
In the 20 or 30 seconds that the object spent from the point at which it was initially observed until it passed over the bus, it first showed up its side, like a large concave-convex plate, of a diaphanous blue and intense shine, with a flaming tail, whose variable size reached up to the diameter of the device. Then I had the impression that it was spinning on its own axis and then it stopped instantly above the bus, descending to 400 or 500 meters of height. It presented before my astonished eyes all its ventral (concave) surface. My wife did not see this second phase, because she diverted her attention to alert the other passengers about what was happening.
Accustomed to long years of working with a microscope and, therefore, to distinguish well the details of the images presented to me, I observed the whole and each of its parts in perfect detail.
The aircraft or spaceship (difficult to say with certainty) then appeared in that position as a big and amazing chrome (something out of this world, which I don’t believe much), giving the feeling that it had stopped for a moment above the bus, having I evaluated measure the whole fuselage between 80 and 100 meters in diameter, with a slightly larger diagonal than the transversal side.
If it were an image seen under a microscope, I would say it was an artifact of coloring.
It also gave the impression of a great and fantastic cinematic projection on space.
The structure of the apparatus was relatively simple: it consisted of four large dark disks, as if they were engine rooms, apparently immobile, each with a dome above it; corresponding to the fifth part of the disk size, intensely brilliant, of a characteristic diaphanous blue, with each of the discs openings in the lower external lateral angles, through which jetted black and reddish particles appeared, looking like a shower of fire, and suggesting perhaps the existence of solid fuel.
Despite the power of the jets, there was no noise. The four discs, arranged in squares of close and square formation, seemed connected by a cohesive zone similar to a thin layer of air or gases of a red and orange color.
In the horizontal position, the four jets appeared separately, while in profile we saw a single thick jet.

I said earlier that I thought the speed developed by the disk squadron was average, because one afternoon in 1961, when I was returning from the Ministry’s hours, driving my car down Avenida do Mangue, I saw in the sky of Tijuca, at great height and distance, a ball with the same specific blue color, perceived by all who saw such objects, and which is really the color of the dome that crowns the disc, as we saw before.
This ball moved in space with incredible speed, to the point of disappearing in the path from one place to another.
As I was only in the car, I didn’t comment much on the event.
When I arrived in Rio back [after returning from Bahia], I was a little reluctant to make this communication. […]
But, as there are doubts about the origin of these flying devices, I thought it was my duty to report everything I saw.
Because if this is a secret artifact from a friendly and sensible power like the U.S.A., we have nothing to fear.
The newspapers of Bahia reported on the following day, 27-JUL-1972, the passage of these objects through a district in Minas Gerais, not far from Realeza-MG, where ‘sportingly’ it landed on a football field, in full operation.
However, if they come from other planets, they can be one of the reconnaissance patrols that have been watching us for a long time and that are getting closer and closer (like the descent and the climb they made above our bus, with the obvious intention of showing off to be seen) it is best to seek, by all means at our disposal, contact with these space travelers, and make the best possible deal, or else to continue on our way and imitate the ostrich, hiding our head under the wings and wait for the events.
