MAY 19th, 1991. Time: 8:30 pm. Duration: 110 minutes. From the roof of a building in the region of Ipanema, city of Rio de Janeiro-RJ, seven people observed for almost two hours two unidentified flying objects next to each other over the high seas, “right in front of Posto 9 – Ipanema”. According to the witnesses, the UFOs were “two luminous balls of green, red and yellow color” that did not move, performing “only rotation movements”. The objects were positioned “relatively lower than the stars” and were moving away “progressively during the period observed towards the high seas directly ahead, decreasing in size due to the increasing distance”. The sighting was carried out with the naked eye and with binoculars, under good visibility conditions with “the stars clearly visible”. Complementary data from COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command]: “Two aircraft were flying close to the objects, in an attitude of approaching them. One aircraft passed over, and the other underneath. This, when (in the eyes of the observer) approached the objects, it would have caused them to deviate upwards. That aircraft proceeded normally. Surely, it was neither stars nor aircraft (UFOs). At 22:17, one could still observe the fact, but more distant and weaker (smaller). The new information should be passed on to COPM1. “

JUNE, 26th 1991. Time: 13:53. Duration: 10 minutes. Four military men of the Brazilian Air Force, when flying over the region of Maricá, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, observed an unidentified flying object with the shape of a “very large, pointed star, 8 to 10 times brighter than the VARIG [an airliner]”. Also according to the reporting witness, the UFO emitted intense white lights, but after the Campos [RJ] region until it reached the Vitória [ES] region it turned red. The UFO moved at the same speed as the military aircraft, about 3NM [nautical miles] away, at an altitude of 1,000 meters above the aircraft, and always in the same “11 o’clock” position in relation to the right wing (Northwest) “of the military aircraft”. Also according to the report, the UFO “when its color changed, the intensity of its brightness decreased”. The sighting was done in good visibility conditions, with “clear sky above and a very clear moon” and “it was photographed by CTA TEN […] with objective lens”. JULY 7th, 1991. Time: 9:30 pm. Duration: 30 minutes. A woman from Araçatuba, state of São Paulo, reported that she had observed, for half an hour, an unidentified flying object which seemed like a “large, multicolor center of light”, flying at low speed. The witness was unable to estimate the altitude of the UFO but said it was close. The sighting was photographed, but the photos were not shared with this file. The unknown object was observed with the naked eye and in good visibility conditions. The woman did not provide further details due to the high cost of the call, but is available to receive calls. “

JAN 10th, 1992. Time: 9:15 pm. Duration: 1 minute. Nine people spotted an unidentified flying object zigzagging in Paracatu, State of Minas Gerais. The witness described the UFO as a star-shaped object, white in color and “very fast, more than three times faster than a jet”. According to the reporting witness, the object went from the Southeast to the Northwest, “on the Rio de Janeiro-Brasilia route, in the usual route of the jets”, at the same altitude. The reporter said that a neighbor of his “observed the object and noticed excessive speed in it and called him”.

The UFO phenomenon was observed when the weather conditions were: “partly cloudy, but [it was] possible to observe the stars and other aircraft”. The sighting was carried out with the naked eye.

The observer is used to seeing aircrafts flying over the city, ensuring that the object was not an aircraft, or a shooting star “.

MAY 15th, 1992. Time: 21:45. Duration: 5 minutes. Five people in the region of Moema, city of São Paulo, State of São Paulo, observed an unidentified flying object with a round shape and “larger than a Boeing 747”. According to the witnesses, the UFO was blue, light red and yellow, and was flying at a slower than an airplane, in the West-North direction, and at an altitude of 2,000ft. Observers further stated that they saw the UFO at a distance of approximately 1,500 meters, covering a “horizontal” trajectory. The sighting took place in good visibility and was done with the naked eye.

AUG 4th, 1992. Time: 6:30 pm. Duration: 2 hours. In the Pilarzinho region, in Curitiba, State of Paraná, six people observed “two white balls of light”, alternating speed at 200 meters of altitude. According to the witnesses who observed the two UFOs from a distance of 1 km, they were performing circular movements while flying close to each other. The sighting occurred with the sky closed and the naked eye.

AUG 4th, 1992. Time: 18:15. Duration: 2 hours. A person in Curitiba, State of Paraná, reported the sighting of two UFOs making circular movements, approaching and moving away from each other. According to the witness, the unknown objects were oval, “sparkling white” and “extremely fast”. The observer reported that they positioned themselves approximately 200 meters high, at “Alto da XV, over Rádio Atalaia”, being observed horizontally by him from about 1 km. The witness stated that he made the sighting with the naked eye and good visibility conditions.

OCT 23rd, 1992. Time: 02:06 am. Duration: 2 hours. A student from Curitiba, State of Paraná, observed an unidentified flying object appearing “among the clouds” and going back and forth in its straight trajectory. According to the witness, the UFO was spherical, “helicopter-sized”, “yellow and red, in circular motion”. The unknown object moved at high speed at an altitude estimated at 3 km South of Curitiba. The sighting occurred in a foggy and cloudy sky , and carried out with the naked eye. Complementary observation of the COMDABRA [Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command] report: “The informant contradicted himself several times. First he said that he was called José to SGT Cândido. The object was not seen in the PPI. He provided the telephone number of his father’s boss.”

NOV 7th, 1992. 20:50. Duration: 110 minutes. A man in the region of Taguatinga, Distrito Federal, reported that he has been constantly seeing an unidentified flying object for fifteen days. Together with two other people, the witness observed the sighting of this report with binoculars and, according to him, the UFO was round, with the appearance of a star, but as if it were “four headlights together” at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters. According to him, it was like a “lamp, without color; satin” at very slow speed. “The witness stated that he observed the UFO moving in circles in the western region of the city. The sighting was observed with a very cloudy sky. NOV 7th, 1992. 20:47. Duration: 30 minutes. In Samambaia region, Distrito Federal, two people observed, with the naked eye and in a cloudy sky, an unidentified flying object, moving “up and sideways”. The UFO, according to the witnesses, was round with the appearance of “a ping-pong ball”, and had an incandescent glow. The unknown object was observed flying fast about 10 km away from the observers going in the direction of the city of Goiânia-GO.
